I’ve been raked over the coals over asking to keep the dollar per hour “I earned as goodwill for my work on [ailing project],” reamed for talking to other recruiters within the agency over roles, railed on for asking for certain rates, and have dealt with enough recruiters to see their manipulation a mile away. Here’s a recent conversation with some recruiter that reached out about a project. See if you can spot the manipulation:
If there’s only one benefit with waking up early, as you peer through the obscuring trees of your mind’s doubts telling you to go back to sleep, it’s getting your shot to advance at something. Maybe it’s preparing for an interview, attending a meeting with an important customer, or refining a skill. I’ve found that my motivations to rise to any challenge of getting any shot goes away when I sleep in. Why is that?
Motivation within the Keyboard Kommander group continues at a steady pace! I’ve invested my fiction prompt time and wrote 2 of 12+ short stories for the keyboard tutor meets horror game’s Story Mode. I’m proud of the results! We’ve refined the narrative scope for what’s realistic to implement in-game. Game designer and lead programmer William is actively integrating suggestions he’s received from playtesters and found others to join the group in various capacities, including… well, see below!

The first of a proposed 12 short stories, fleshing out the world of Keyboard Kommander, is complete! The next few Saturdays will reveal a story arc that will be unlocked in-game. We’ve been brainstorming realistic short term and the fantastic long term story mode ideas. Don’t worry! There won’t be any spoilers below.
