Movie Review: Jodorowsky’s Dune (2013, 100 Words)

One hundred words on one of my favorite documentaries, Jodorowsky’s Dune:

We’re taught that failure is not an option. This attitude perverts handling difficult situations where we can or have failed. The Dune project was going to be monumental. “We will change the world!” It failed. How did the crew cope? Some broke down while others said “and then so what?!” All eventually moved on. Director and producer set aside their regrets while reflecting and created La danza de la realidad. Push through the embarrassment, learn from the experience, then celebrate the effort. Exclaim “yes!” to any failure you may encounter and move on. You can always revisit the effort later.

My big goal is writing. My most important goal is writing "The Story." All other goals should work toward that central goal. My proudest moment is the most recent time I overcame some fear, which should have been today. I'm a better zombie than I was yesterday. I'm not better than you and you're not better than me. Let's strive to be better every day.
